Frequently Asked Question

Therapy isn’t just for "big problems" — it can help with almost anything that’s affecting your emotional well-being or quality of life. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, trauma, work stress, grief, or just feeling stuck or lost, therapy gives you a safe space to explore and grow. You don’t need to have life falling apart to benefit. Sometimes, therapy is about building better habits, boosting self-confidence, or just having a trusted person to talk to who can help you see things clearly.
Not at all. Therapy isn’t just for people in crisis — it’s for anyone who wants to feel better, think clearer, or live more intentionally. Many clients come simply because they want to better understand themselves, improve their mindset, or navigate life’s challenges with more confidence. Therapy can absolutely be about growth, not just healing.
That’s such an important question — and the truth is, therapy is most effective when there’s a genuine connection between you and your therapist. That’s why I offer a free 15-minute initial consultation.
This short call is a no-pressure, no-commitment opportunity to briefly explore what you’re going through and get a sense of how I work. It also gives me a chance to understand your needs at a high level, so I can determine if my services are the right fit for you.
Think of it as a gentle first step — a way to ask questions, share what’s on your mind, and see if it feels comfortable. I always encourage you to trust your instincts when choosing a therapist, and this consultation is a space to do just that.
A typical session is simply a real conversation, in a safe space where you can speak openly. You can talk about anything that’s on your mind — your feelings, your relationships, your thoughts, or even things you’re not sure how to express yet. I’ll guide the session with curiosity, empathy, and helpful questions to help you reflect, untangle what’s bothering you, and start moving toward change. You don’t need to come with a plan — we build it together.
The first session is a bit different — it runs for approximately two hours. This extended session allows us to take a comprehensive look at your personal history a deep-dive assessment to understand the deeper layers of what you're going through. We’ll explore your thought patterns, emotional responses, behavioural shifts, triggers, and mood fluctuations,
However, your first session is approximately two hours long, and for good reason. It’s a deep-dive assessment where we take time to explore your personal history, your thought patterns, emotional triggers, behavioural changes, mood fluctuations, and overall emotional landscape. This extended session allows me to gain a comprehensive understanding of your inner world. So I can get a clear picture of what’s beneath the surface.
Think of it as a full emotional mapping — not just what you’re experiencing, but how and why it’s showing up. This sets the groundwork for more effective and meaningful progress moving forward.
This deep-dive session is a crucial step. It helps identify the root causes of the emotional or psychological struggles you may be facing, and gives us a strong foundation to develop a tailored therapy plan that’s personalized, focused, and effective.
Most sessions are 60 minutes long — long enough to go deep, but not so long that it feels overwhelming. Many clients start with weekly sessions to build momentum and consistency. As you progress, you might choose to spread sessions out more, or continue regularly — it’s flexible and completely tailored to your comfort and goals.

We understand that investing in therapy is a big decision — but for us, it’s never about the money, it’s about your healing. Each session is thoughtfully designed to bring clarity, growth, and lasting change. You’re not just paying for time; you’re investing in your peace of mind and emotional well-being. If you have any concerns about affordability, we’re always open to a genuine conversation.
Yes — your privacy is deeply respected. Therapy is a completely confidential space. What we talk about stays between us. The only rare exceptions are situations where there’s a risk of serious harm to yourself or others, or if legally required, which we’ll fully discuss in your first session. My priority is always to create a space where you can feel completely safe to be open and honest.
Yes, definitely! I offer secure audio/video therapy sessions, so you can access support from anywhere — your home, office, or even while traveling. Online therapy is just as effective and fully confidential. Many clients actually find it more comfortable because they’re in their own space. All you need is a quiet spot and a good internet connection.
The length of therapy varies from person to person, but many of my clients begin to notice meaningful changes after just the first session — feeling more clarity, emotional relief, and a sense of direction. On average, clients experience noticeable progress within 8 to 10 sessions, especially when they engage consistently and apply the tools we explore together.
That said, your journey is uniquely yours. Some individuals choose short-term therapy to work through specific challenges, while others continue longer for deeper emotional healing or personal development. We’ll check in regularly to ensure therapy is aligned with your goals, and you’ll always have the flexibility to pause or adjust as needed. You're in control every step of the way.
I hear this a lot, and I get it — a past negative experience can make it hard to try again. But not all therapists or therapy styles are the same. I prioritize creating a safe, kind, and collaborative space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. If something in our sessions doesn’t feel right, I always welcome open feedback. My goal is to work with you, not talk at you. And if I’m not the right fit, I’ll happily help you find someone who is. You deserve to feel supported.
Yes — absolutely.
Therapy can lead to a massive transformation in how you think, feel, and experience life. You’ll start to notice a shift in your mindset, your attitude becomes more positive, your confidence grows, and your direction becomes clearer. Others around you will see the difference too — not just in how you speak, but in how you show up in the world.
While we can’t erase the past, therapy helps you release the emotional weight tied to past events. You’ll no longer feel defined by your struggles — instead, you’ll feel empowered, lighter, and more in control. With time, effort, and commitment, therapy doesn’t just help — it transforms.
I use a blend of evidence-based Integrative / Holistic approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Pschodynamic Therapy, Inner Child Work, Gestalt Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy, Hypnotherapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness techniques, and others based on your needs. It’s not a one-size-fits-all process — we tailor it to what works best for you.
Yes. I offer therapy for individuals, couples, and families. If you’re struggling in your relationship, feeling disconnected, or just want to improve communication, couples or family therapy can help bring clarity and connection.
That’s totally okay. You’re never locked in. Therapy is a personal journey, and sometimes it takes trying a few sessions — or even a few therapists — to find what feels right. If it’s not working, we can adjust the approach, or I can refer you to someone who might be a better fit. Your comfort comes first.
